Restaurants at Disney World - Part 2
In addition to conventional dining experiences, some restaurants at Disney World feature Disney characters that will visit and interact with you at your table, and pose for pictures if you like. This has the added benefit of having some character interaction for kids while not having to stand in line to meet a character, as is usually the case in the parks.
Crystal Palace is an all-day character dining restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore make their appearance here, and the food is served buffet-style. Breakfast fare is typical, including eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, sausages, etc., with a few interesting items such as breakfast lasagna (pancakes, waffles, cream, bananas, peaches) and breakfast pizza. Lunch and dinner offer items such as shrimp, citrus marinated flank steak, BBQ pork tenderloin, wild mushroom and chicken pasta with basil asiago cream sauce, beef demi glaze, slow roasted adobo pork, pineapple upside down cake, and red velvet cheesecake.
There is always a good selection of vegetarian dishes at all Disney restaurants, and some such dishes at Crystal Palace are garlic redskin smashed potatoes, broccoli tossed with puri puri with key lime ponzu, fruit and vegetable tofu curry, fire-roasted corn spoon bread, and sun-dried cherry chutney.
